Andy Klein

Andy Klein has been a film critic in Los Angeles for almost 40 years. He was film editor/chief critic at the Los Angeles Reader and Los Angeles CityBeat; staff critic at the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, Los Angeles New Times, TNT Rough Cut (online), Brand X, and the Los Angeles Times Community Newspaper chain. He’s done numerous DVD commentaries, written the liner notes for several videos (including Kill Bill, Vols. 1 and 2); and has written for scores of other print and online publications, here and abroad, including Variety, the Hollywood Reporter, Film Comment, American Film, the Christian Science Monitor, Salon, the San Francisco Examiner, Los Angeles magazine and Animation World. He is a longtime member of the National Society of Film Critics, Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and the Buckaroo Banzai Blue Blaze Irregulars. He currently writes for A.V. Club.
