Why it matters: Limited hours and no parking signs will go up along parts of Fareholm Drive, Fareholm Court, Floral Avenue, Granito Drive, Binkley Drive, Nichols Canyon Road, Courtney Avenue, Courtney Terrace, Stanley Avenue, Curson Avenue, Wattles Drive, Curson Place, Curson Terrace, Hollywood Boulevard, Ogden Drive, Hillside Avenue, Orange Grove Avenue, Fairfax Avenue, Hiller Place, Hemet Place, and Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
Why now: The agenda item said visitors and hikers are causing “adverse parking impacts” around Runyon Canyon, from which the people who live there deserve “immediate relief.”
The backstory: Councilmember Nithya Raman sent a letter to LADOT in January 2022 requesting permit parking for neighborhoods near Runyon Canyon.
