State of Affairs: Garcetti to be Biden's Pick for India Ambassador

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, is believed to be President Biden’s pick for Ambassador to India, but the mayor himself has not confirmed. Plus, the January 6th assault on the Capitol - that we all saw with our own eyes - will NOT be looked at by a bi-partisan panel. To discuss, we’re joined by Jack Pitney, professor at Claremont McKenna College and author of the book Un-American: the Fake Patriotism of Donald J Trump and Christina Bellantoni, Journalism professor and Media Center director at USC Annenberg.

Cal State LA to Hold First Native American Graduation

California State University, Los Angeles is set to hold its first ever Native American graduation ceremony on Sunday. The virtual reception is happening after more than a decade of struggle by students and faculty. KPCC's Adolfo Guzman-Lopez reports.

Idle Oil Wells Pose Danger to South LA Neighborhood

In the South LA neighborhood of University Park there’s a two acre lot filled with 21 idle oil wells. Last year, public officials warned of the public hazard posed by these wells and called for them to be sealed off. But a year later, according to a new report by online news site Capital and Main...that has yet to happen... frustrating residents who have been pushing for these wells to be closed for more than 10 years. Take Two talks with Capital & Main Energy Reporter Ingrid Lobet.
