About the University of Hul
In Kingston upon Hull, a city in Yorkshire’s East Riding, England, there is a public research university known as the University of Hull. In 1927, University College Hull was established.
The Hull York Medical School, a joint venture with the Institution of York, is housed on the main campus of the university, which is in Hull. The Hull University Union provides services to students.
Lord Middleton served as the university’s first chancellor from 1954 to 1969. Lord Cohen, Lord Wilberforce, and Lord Armstrong (1994–2006 succeeded them). The current chancellor, Virginia Bottomley (Baroness Bottomley of Nettlestone), was appointed in April 2006.
